MONROVIA 13 October 2021 --The Toutant Intellectual Competition Fund (TICF - toutanticfund.org) has engaged with Jakob Myers to provide coaching to the Liberian Quiz Team in the days leading up to the 2nd Quiz Olympiad (quizolympiad.com) taking place in Krakow, Poland November 11-14, 2021. Myers, a recent graduate of Michigan State University with a triple major in History, Arabic, and Geographic Information Systems placed #11 overall in the 2021 World Quizzing Championship. In the Quiz Bowl realm, Jakob was the Top Scorer at the 2019 Academic Competition Federation (ACF) Nationals and 2017 High School National Academic Quiz Tournament (NAQT). Myers was a member of the championship team for the 2019 NAQT Intercollegiate Championship and the 2016 and 2017 International Quiz Bowl National All-Star Academic Tournaments.
"I am excited for this opportunity to help get Team Liberia into top competition shape and make Africa's debut in the Quiz Olympiad one to remember.," said Jakob, who will travel to Liberia in October for coaching, and then with the team to the Olympiad in Poland.
